Excess acetone reacts with;
1) OH- (aq)
2) Heat
3) Br2 (l)

In this reaction ketone is oxidized to ester in the presence of peroxyacid

1) aldol product with OH-
2) removal of H2O and generate a double bond
3) anti addition of Br2 on the double bond
