Title: Rate equations
Post by: tinachem on January 13, 2019, 03:33:46 PM
Hi, I'm stuck on this question about rate equations. I can find the order in respect to [A] but when I try to find it appears as a decimal. Any ideas as to how to figure out? Also I'm not too sure about finding the rate equation.

Thanks in advance.

It is one of the simplest question
Check experiment 1 and 2
as the conc of B is doubled - rate has become 4 times ===so oder is 2 with respect to B
Check 2 and 3
as the concentration is doubled
Rate has become doubled --so order is 1
