You need to prepare a 1 ng/μL (nanogram/microlitre) solution of tartaric acid (2,3-dihydroxysuccinic acid, C4O6H6) to be used as a standard in your experiments. You have 2 mL of a 1 mg/mL solution of tartaric acid in methanol. How would you prepare the needed standard solution given that the minimum volume that you can accurately measure is 10 μL and the maximum volume 1 mL?

uma

Basically you need 1mg in 1L
The solution provided by you is 2mg per 2mL
so we need to dilute this solution upto 2000mL so that it becomes 2mg per 2L so it will give you the desired 1mg/L 0r 1ng/1uL
