A 500.0 gram sample of an element, at 195 C, is dropped into an ice water mixture. 109.5 g of ice melts and an ice water mixture remains. Calculate the specific heat of the element and determine which element it is. This problem doesn't make any sense to me but this is what my book says.  ??? Any help is appreciated!

if we take initial and final temp as zero deg C for the ice mixture than the amount of heat gained by ice mixture is zero only .
I am just wondering that this will give everything as zero
