Title: molarity and ph
Post by: moni2209 on August 02, 2019, 01:58:43 PM
Calculate the molarity and the pH.
1.11g of KOH in 908 mL H2O

1.2g of HNO3 in 2111 mL H2O

Molarity is defined as moles per litre
So convert g of KOH  to moles of KOH
Moles of KOH = mass of KOH /Molar mass of KOH
Convert volume in Litres
1000mL =1L
Now plug it in molarity formula
M=Moles/Volume in Litres

1.2g of HNO3 in 2111 mL H2O

Convert g of HNO3 to moles of HNO3 (molar mass of HNO3 is 63 g )
and mL of water to litres of water
Divide moles of HNO3 with litres of water
