What mass of ammonium nitrate is required to lower the temperature of 400 mL of water from 25oC to 1oC? The Hsoln for ammonium nitrate = 34 kJ/mol.

This is what  I have. x/80.052(34KJ/mol)=-(400+x)(4.18J/g℃)(-24℃)
Can't seem to find an answer.

Thanks

uma

It should be
x = mass of ammonium nitrate , molar mass of ammonium nitrate=53.4917 g/mol
x X 34KJ/mol / 53.4917 g/mol = (400+x)(4.18J/g℃)(24℃)
Now solve it for x

Having an issue solving for X. May you show me how please.
Thanks
