Hi, what i'd like to know is, does BaOH exists?? or does it have to be Ba(OH)2???
any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!!
thank you!

uma

Ba has +2 charge and OH has -1 charge
now combine these two radicals so that total  charge is zero
you can see one mole of Ba+2 needs two moles of OH-
Ba (OH)2
Did you get the presentations sent by me on chemical bonding?

DesertRose

thank you!!

so does that means that when you say barium hydroxide, the formula is really Ba(OH)2??

and yes, i got the slides. thank you very much!! i'm still in the process of going through it.
:)
thank you!!!!11
