What would be the observed temperature change of the water in  a calorimeter be if 45.00 g of Sulfur, S(s), are burned in a bomb? The device holds 4.50 kg of water and the molar heat of combustion of sulfur is -296.1 kJ/mol.
The answer given was change in temperature =22.0 degrees Celsius.

Calculate moles of S
Calculate amount of energy for that much number of moles
q= n(moles of s) X-296.1 kJ/mol.
now q = mc delta t
detla t = q/ m c
m = 4.50 Kg
c = 4.18KJ /kg.deg c
