How does a prism scatter light and separate the colors on the electromagnetic spectrum?

First what is prism ?
It is 3-D shape in which identical shapes are facing each other. These shapes are called base and they can triangular ,square or any geometric shape.

Now when white light enters in the prism ,each wavelength of light is refracted by different angle in the prism. In this manner all wavelengths of light are separated out inside the prism and they come out separately with different angles showing complete visual spectrum of light.
