Question: Ozonide reacts with mild reducing agents to give aldehydes and ketones. What is the mechanism of this reaction?

Ozone will be added to the doublebond of the alkene and built a molozonoide. This will be reduced with zinc or dimethylsulfide and get the aldehyde or keton and zincoxide or DMSO.

Here is the mechanism of breakdown of ozonide in the presence of reducing agent.
Follow the arrow direction of electron transfer and keep it in minds that
1) Carbon can not have more than 4 bonds or 8 electrons around it.
2)  -O-O- bond is very stable because of lone pair lone pair repulsion.
