To make more product we need to shift equilibrium to the right -Le Chateliers principal.This can done either by removing water or by removing any of the product .
Sodium metaborate, Na[B(OH) 4 ] makes chelating complex with ethylene glycol and this helps in removal of sodium metaborate, Na[B(OH) 4  ] from the solution.

Answer is cis- ethylene glycol
Trans can not form such stable complex.
