Pressure of CO2 with temperature remains constant as Kp of first equation is constant. So if you add CO2 from outside ,nothing will happen to 2nd equilibrium as CO2 addition can not shift the equilibrium to right as it will tend to increase pressure so nothing will happen in part 2.
However first equilibrium will shift to left to maintain pressure of CO2 which is also Kp of this equilibrium. Kp = pressure CO2
Hence pressure of CO2 will not increase or decrease but will remain constant at fixed temperature.

Maam for the question no. 34 how come CO2 is not a part of second equilibrium?

uma

You are right CO2 is the part of equilibrium and as more CO2 is added from outside means we are increasing pressure also.2nd system would tend to shift in left side which has CO2 only.
We need to keep the Kp of the first reaction constant so it will shift to left .

Ma'am please explain this ques tomorrow in class
