Hi,

We recently did a lab and I don't understand how to answer these questions (screenshot), as the lab doesn't make much sense to me, is it possible if I could get a description on how to get the answer and what to write for the second and third questions in that sheet. (screenshot)
I have a quiz on this tomorrow and need to be able to know how to do this, thank you!

Thank you,

For Q1 use the Clausius-Clapeyron equation
Vapor pressure and heats of vaporization .png
Convert Temp in K
P is pascal (SI unit) and value of C is given. Use it and calculate heats of vaporization .Answer will be J/mol

The source of error is the loss of vapors to the surroundings and results in low vapor pressure.
This results in low value of Heats of vaporization from actual value.

Just wondering when we conver to pascals we get two different answers, so is it that we need to use pascals or can we just use the Kpa given. Also which R value do we have to use for this problem, like do we use 0.0821 or 8.314

uma

4.40 kPa = 4.40 *1000 Pa
use this conversion and R value also in SI units = 8.314 J/mol.K
