Title: Ksp topic question
Post by: prasamb@yahoo.com on March 29, 2023, 10:16:48 AM
What does the magnitude of Ksp (or the magnitude of ?x? of a Ksp ICE box) tell us about the salt?

The bigger Ksp, the worse the solubility.

Magnitude of Ksp indicates the solubility of the salt.A large value of Ksp means more solubility of the salt.

Do we talk about Ksp =  - log(Sp) or only Sp

Compare Ksp = 5 and 8
Sp = 10^(-KsP)
Sp  = 10^(-5) = 0,00001
Sp =  10^(-8) = 0,00000001

So the larger KsP gives a smaller Sp,
So it must be the opposit, isn't it. Where are I am wrong.

Please check
it is Ksp and not pKsp
