I am confused on how this molecule is polar or non-polar
It has some polar parts at the iodine atoms, but a polarity like water has cannot be found. The soloubilty of halogen carbon hydrogens are poor.

It doesn't make any sense.

CH
4 or CI
4 are non polar because all bond dipoles cancelled out due to highly symmetrical tetrahedral structure in which all bonds are identical.
However, CH
2I
2 is also tetrahedral but all bonds are not identical. So this molecule is polar because all bond dipoles do not cancel completely.

Why. The molecule is some how polar. But halogencarbonhydrogens are not good soluoble in water. I meant a polar compound like water is total different from them.

question was asking reason for polar or non polar ?
Not the comparison or solubility.
