Number of electrons in pi bonds

this was on the quiz, I got it right but I want to make sure my reasoning is correct.

The bond in ethyne is a triple bond. This is made of one sigma bond and 2 Pi bonds. Each Pi bond carries 2 electrons in sum its 4  the we have 2 p orbitales and these have 4 overlapings.

A Triple bond means 2 pi bonds .
A pi bond is formed by lateral or sideways  overlapping of p orbitals. It means two p orbitals of each carbon will overlap with two p  orbitals of other carbon which will make 4 lobes ...two above the plane and two below the plane. Please check image for better understanding.
