Consider the reaction HOCl + F- <--> HF + OCl-
Given that Ka for HOCl is 3.5 * 10^-8 and the Ka for HF is 7.2 * 10^-4 (both at 25 C), which of the following is true concerning K for the above reaction at 25C?
a) K>1
b) K<1
c) K=1

Check which is stronger acid by comparing Ka values.
Remember stronger acids are more reactive . HF is more reactive so it will push the equilibrium on the side of HOCl .
Means Reactants are more than product or K<1
Always remember , weaker acids are bases are more stable and are more dominating species in equilibrium.
