Title: Intermolecular forces
Post by: Jace Taila on September 28, 2021, 11:37:13 AM
Identify the types of intermolecular forces in pure glucose C6H12)6 and our cyclohexane C6H12- Both seem to have LDF and Dipole -dipole. Is this correct Ms. Uma?

Hi Jace,
Glucose has so many OH groups in it and this results in H-Bonding dipoles -dipole and LDFs in glucose.
However cyclohexane has only non polar C-H and C-C bonds and hence it has only LDFs
